Zong, one of the leading telecom operators in Pakistan, has recently launched its first ever eSIM service for its customers. eSIM is a digital SIM that is embedded in your phone, so that you can activate a mobile number without using a physical SIM. This innovative technology offers many benefits, such as convenience, flexibility, and security. In this blog post, we will explain what eSIM is, how it works, and how you can get it from Zong.
What is eSIM?
eSIM stands for embedded SIM, which is a small chip that is built into your phone or other compatible devices, such as laptops, tablets, wearables, and IoT devices. Unlike a traditional SIM card, which you have to insert and remove from your phone, eSIM is permanently installed and cannot be lost or damaged. eSIM allows you to store multiple mobile network profiles on a single device, and switch between them easily using the internet. You can also download data plans and remove old SIM profiles within the same device, without having to physically change your SIM cards.
